Del Rey Books is an American publisher of science fiction, fantasy and horror books. It was founded in 1977 by Linda Grey and Judy-Lynn del Rey and is now an imprint of Penguin Random House. Del Rey has published some of the most popular and acclaimed science fiction and fantasy novels of the last several decades, including works by authors such as George R.R. Martin, J.R.R. Tolkien, and Philip K. Dick. It also has a number of media tie-ins, publishing official novelizations of films, comics, and video games.
