Honno Welsh Women's Press

Honno Welsh Women's Press is a small independent publisher based in Wales, UK that focuses on publishing books written by women in Wales and about Wales. The press was founded in 1986 by a group of women who wanted to see more books by Welsh women in print.

Honno publishes fiction, poetry, and non-fiction by Welsh women, and also works to promote the voices and perspectives of marginalized groups within the community, including women from different ethnic backgrounds, women with disabilities and LGBTQ women. Honno plays an important role in preserving and promoting Welsh women's literature, and has published many critically acclaimed books by Welsh women authors.

One of Honno's key objectives is to support Welsh women writers and help them to find success in the publishing industry. They provide support for new writers by mentoring and promoting them, and also provide guidance on how to research and document Welsh women's history.

Honno also works to make their books available to as wide an audience as possible by publishing in both Welsh and English, and by making their books available in a variety of formats, including print and e-book.

Overall, Honno Welsh Women's Press plays an important role in preserving and promoting Welsh women's literature, providing a platform for Welsh women authors to share their stories and experiences, and working to promote the voices and perspectives of marginalized groups within the Welsh community.
