Doubleday is an American publishing company founded in 1897 by Frank N. Doubleday. It is currently an imprint of Penguin Random House. Doubleday is known for publishing a wide variety of books, including fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and children's books. Throughout its history, Doubleday has published many notable authors, including Ernest Hemingway, John Steinbeck, Margaret Mitchell, and J.D. Salinger.
